Step into the spotlight and discover the magic of theatre! In this fun and engaging class, young performers will explore the fundamentals of acting through creative games, imaginative exercises, and collaborative storytelling. Students will develop essential skills such as active listening, building character depth, and thinking on their feet with improvisation.

 

Through scene and song analysis, they'll learn how to bring scripts and lyrics to life while mastering stage presence and working as part of a supportive ensemble. Whether your child is a seasoned performer or stepping onto the stage for the first time, this class will inspire confidence, spark creativity, and nurture a love for the performing arts.

 

Join us for a theatrical adventure filled with laughter, learning, and lots of drama in the best way possible!

 

This class will have a presentational showcase at the end of the 10 weeks for students to share their work on May 31st.

Step into the enchanted world of Broadway's classic, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, an international sensation that has been produced in 37 countries worldwide. Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, the stage version includes all of the wonderful songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice. The original Broadway production ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

This "tale as old as time" is filled with spectacular costume and set opportunities or, even more simply staged, Disney's Beauty and the Beast offers a great opportunity to bring your entire community together for family theatre at its best.
